Florida Mayhem signs Rain

The South Korean marks the latest addition to the ever-changing Overwatch League roster.

HQ

Florida Mayhem has announced another acquisition coming to their roster in the form of South Korean player Park "RaiN" Jae-ho. RaiN, who played for O2 Blast in Season One of the Korean Overwatch Contenders 2019, has had mixed success in his career, earning several second places but never achieving a championship title as of yet. The 19-year-old main support player is set to assist the Mayhem's support line which will now consist of four players, raising the question on what will become of the remaining players.

Florida Mayhem's support line currently consists of HyeonWoo "HaGoPeun" Jo, Junsu "Kris" Choe, and SeongJoo "byrem" Lee, with only Kris playing the main support role. This does mean that whilst byrem and HaGoPeun's flex support roles should not necessarily come under threat by the addition of RaiN, Kris will likely find some competition in order to maintain his position on the main roster.

With all this new talent making its way to Florida, does this mean we are likely to see some of the more versed players cut from the roster entirely? That question remains, although if history is anything to go by, when a team is underperforming, players usually don't last for too long, as the Spitfire showed last year.

To catch the Mayhem in action, be sure to watch their next match against the San Francisco Shock at 1:45AM BST on Friday (17:45 PST on Thursday).

What do you think of the Mayhem's acquisition of RaiN?
