Fortnite esports organisation Team Atlantis has announced they will be shutting down operations indefinitely. In a Twitter video, team CEO Žygimantas "KNOK1" Kriščiūnas spoke about the situation in depth, lending reasoning to the unfortunate situation.

"Due to various reasons of Covid-19, investments, and the inflated market of Fortnite, we have decided to close down the business. Every player, content creator, and everyone in management will be released from their contracts at the end of October."

Team Atlantis has played in competitive Fortnite for some time now, but their results have been varied. With Kevin "LeTsHe" Fedjuschkin being one of the org's most successful players, after competing in multiple Cash Cups and Dreamhack events. Fortnite esports has an uncertain structure, which can see smaller teams struggle to survive and last, as is the case with Atlantis.

KNOK1 did go on to say; "Atlantis may go on to start again in the future, but for now, we are saying goodbye, peace, stay healthy, and feel the flow, forever."
