Despite almost qualifying for Valorant Champions 2021, after finishing second in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier and managing to make it to the semi-finals of the Stage 1 Masters, Guild Esports will not be attending the premier event this December.
Due to failing to make it to the tournament, Guild has now announced that it has released three of its Valorant players from their contracts, meaning the David Beckham-backed organisation will be looking to rebuild its team ahead of 2022.
The three members that have been released from their contracts are William "draken" Sundin, Yacine "Yacine" Laghmari, and Malkolm "bonkar" Rench. As for where the trio will be heading to, or who Guild is eyeing up as their replacements, that has yet to be revealed.
The esports organisation did release a short comment about the release on Twitter however, saying, "Today we're officially saying goodbye to @Officialbonkar, @drakenCSGO, and @YACINELAGHMARI as they move on from Guild.
They were responsible for some incredible highlights these past few months - and we know wherever they go next, they'll find amazing success."
