Intel has extended its partnership with National Student Esports (NSE) for a third year running, and will continue to support grassroots esports communities for UK students over the 2021/2022 academic year.

The extension will see Intel remain as the headline sponsor for the British University Esports Championship, an event hosted by the NSE to give students in the UK who are "interested in esports and gaming an amazing experience at university", as the announcement post reads.

"Adding to the student experience is at the core of NSE's focus, whether that's through esports or our more educational initiatives," said Alex Coulson, Managing Director of the NSE. "We couldn't be happier that Intel has continued to show their support once again and recognises the importance of aiding UK university students in their endeavours.

We're excited to work together on existing projects like the British University Esports Championship and the Intel FutureGen programme, but also to work on new ideas and other ways to reward and aid the student community"

Intel and the NSE are also expected to be working on a "joint initiative" to identify and award success stories within the UK student scene. More information on this initiative are expected to be following soon.
