It has been reported that NRG Esports has made Rocket League history by becoming the first organisation to pass $1 million in prize winnings. First reported on by GinX, NRG has been a pretty formidable force in the Rocket League scene for around over five years now, largely being the North American team to beat during that time period.
The record itself was broken on April 20, when NRG placed in the top four of the Spring RLCS X The Grid, netting $10,500 and just pushing them over the threshold, and making them the first ever organisation to pass the record.
The team has since tweeted on the record, stating, "Rocket League has been a huge part of our history, being the first team with 1 Million in earnings is insane", alongside noting every player who has been part of the organisation to help make this record possible.
