The Worlds semi-finalists have been decided

Korean teams are entirely absent.
Sam Bishop 22 października 2018

It's been a shocking and surprising ride at the League of Legends World Championships so far, as not only have the underestimated European and North American players shone in the face of adversity, but Korean teams have severely underperformed, so much so that none of them have made it into the semi-finals.

This past weekend saw the quarter-finals take place, starting with Chinese side Invictus Gaming, who very narrowly beat the Korean team kt Rolster. Facing them in the semi-finals will be G2 Esports, who stunned Royal Never Give Up by the same margin, coming back from 2-1 down to book their spot.

Making up the other semi-final is Fnatic - who bounced back from an early map loss against Edward Gaming to win 3-1 - and Cloud9, who took down Afreeca Freecs 3-0 to make it an all-western semi-final on that side.

G2 will be facing Invictus this coming Saturday, while Cloud9 and Fnatic will battle on Sunday ahead of the final on November 3, so the stakes are really raised now. Who will we see in the final?
